I'm still here!

Hey there! No, I did not fall off the face of the earth, but it has been way too long! Good grief, I have no idea where nearly two months have gone. While I haven't been posting, I have been reading your blogs and trying to keep up with who's completed what and so on.
I am very proud to announce, I have a child through college! Complete with graduation! Woo hoo! Instant pay raise and it was on my husband and I's 23rd anniversary to boot! Double prize! As you can see, Gianna's siblings are pretty proud too! We had gorgeous weather, not a cloud in sight which made for a nasty sunburn on my arms and chest but...while I forgot the sunscreen, I did remember the camera!
I am also happy to announce that the quilts I started for donation to my church were completed on time! I did have to enlist the help of my friend Tracy and her long arm quilting machine, but they were ready on time! Whew! It was close.

So, while my machine is in getting a much needed tune up, I have started stitching again. I will put some pictures up in a couple of days. I would like to have a respectable amount of stitching to show. LOL! Well, at least I will try to have a respectable amount of stitching to show....
Here in Colorado it has finally stopped snowing and raining. This last week has just been crazy weather wise. Today, finally the sun was out and things at least tried to dry up a bit. I went down to the barn this morning and my horse, Rio, looked like she had just crawled out of a mud puddle! I mean she really was just caked with mud. I reminded her that she was a horse and not a pig or a dog, so to try to act a bit more noble. I think this conversation was really more for my benefit than hers but, again, "A" for effort. So, I brought out the brush and comb and by the end of it, she looked better and I certainly looked worse! I was covered in hair and mud. I looked like I had on a pair of curly haired lamb jeans. Not an attractive look at all. As a matter of fact, my dachshund girls barked at me when I came walking up the hill past them. I know I smelled bad and looked equally as bad, but they really didn't need to bark. They are so bossy!
Along with graduation, quilts, and crazy weather, my youngest son traveled to New Zealand with his aunt. He was there for about two weeks and had a great time! He took a lot of pictures so now I have added another country to my bucket list. Some day I hope to visit the places Aunt Gina has been kind enough to take my kids to see. On spot they hiked to was a place called the Hanging Emerald Lakes. OMG! Stunning! They also visited the former set for the Lord of the Rings movies. The Hobbiton was the place where the Shire was set, very very cool!
Well, I think that's a pretty good catch up for tonight. I hope everyone of you is well and dry! Until next time, TTFN!
