Hey there! We survived graduation! Yesterday was Demitri's graduation from high school and what a fun day! I think the only thing that could have been better was perhaps a lot less wind. It was really beautiful here in Colorado but wow! The wind was crazy. Demitri is my third child to graduate high school so one would think it might be "old hat" but no way. I was there cheering when they called his name and crying when we was walking across the stage to receive his diploma. Geez! Hallmark moment! Sniff...
On a different subject, I made the choice for a new project. Peaceful Paradise by Midsummer Night's Dream. I had a really tough time trying to decide, way too much stash! OMG! But in the end, there you have it. I am now trying to decide what to stitch it on, 32, 36, or 40 count. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated:) I am leaning towards 32 count, night stitching is much easier on my old eyes when it's not such a high count. I have a great magnifying lamp but sometimes my eyes are just fried after work.
I think this week will finally be a bit quieter. Maybe I can sneak in a bit more stitching time and a little less house cleaning. Until next time, TTFN!!

ReplyDeleteI love Peaceful Paradise! I think you should go with whatever count you're most comfortable with. It's a big project, so you shouldn't be going for a count that your eyes won't be happy with. Can't wait to see pictures!
Congratulations to you, Vince and most especially Demetri! I'm sure you have mixed emotions - but then again, you'll get to be back in school with him this next year so you can commiserate about classes and exams. How many Moms get to do that with their kids?

Congratulations on your son's graduation! I'm sure that you never get used to a child graduating - it's such a passage of life. My son will graduate next year and I'm already having fits.
