A very snowy day!

 Today finds me working from home. Yesterday the storm began. In the last twenty four hours, we have received 26 inches of snow and it is still coming down. In the last hour or so the winds have picked up to 40 and 50 mph gusts. Needless to say it is really cold. I was planning ahead and brought my laptop home so I could work. Now work time is over and I am ready to start baking and stitching!
 I decided I couldn't pick which big project to start so I started working on Plum Street Sampler's Coffin Buzz. The sayings on her charts make me smile! And I do so love my coffee! This will buy me a week or two to make a final decision on what to stitch next. Besides, with the weather today, my hubby and I have put away a couple of pots of the wonderful hot stuff!
 My oldest daughter, Gianna was home from school this weekend and while here, presented me with a new stitched project she completed. It's fun to see her growth as a stitcher. The picture on my side bar shows her first project on linen back in 2003 when she was 15. The pillow in front is her most recent completion. Not bad considering she carries 18 credits and a 4.0 gpa! (yes, we are proud of her!) She laughed when she saw Lost Souls on my wall for Halloween. We then started looking through all of the different things she has stitched up over the years. She already has quite a collection started for her "someday" home. She told me her roommate came home and saw her stitching. She thought it was cool she knew how to do that stuff. Gianna told Kayla that not many young people know how but that her mom taught her and her great grandmother taught her mom. You know it got me to thinking how important it is that we stitcher's share our "hobby" "passion" with those around us when the opportunity presents itself. I can't imagine not being able to stitch and see what others are stitching. I think I'm going to work on daughter number two a little more.
 Well, I'm off to stitch and bake a pumpkin pie. Until next time,
