The tree is finally done!

Well, the tree in this piece took much longer than I expected. Throw in a few family events and there you have it. I thought I'd be further along than this by now but geez I guess I have forgotten how much time is added when you change colors every other stitch. But onward and upward! My goal is to have this ready to go to the framer's by September sometime. I have several other "priority" projects that I want to get busy working on but I am trying to discipline myself to finish this one first. Hey has anyone out there stitched "And They Sinned"? I have it ready to go but was wondering if anyone has any insight as to how best to start. I would appreciate the assistance.

I have been following the Mary Wigham sampler on Needleprint's blogsite. Wow! It is so inspiring to see the color choices other stitcher's around the world are making. I also really love to see where others are stitching. One lady is stitching in a Parisian opera house! Wow! Gilt and marble everywhere!

I live in Colorado on the eastern side of the metro area and let me tell you, I have never seen so much rain! As I am typing this another storm is rolling in. Mind you, it has already rain once today. I am a native of this state and I have never seen a summer with so much rain. It seems like someone literally is standing above the house and pouring water straight down. I will say this though, everything is staying green! The horses and chickens really love the grass.

Well, that it for now. Back upstairs to stitch!

  1. Hello! Thank you so much for the lovely comment on my blog! Welcome to the blogging world. I see you have (well, had) no comments, but don`t get discouraged...it`s always a little slow in the summer.

Your stitching is beautiful...I will enjoy reading here.

I see you are in Colorado...I am in the process of moving there to marry a wonderful man...it`s a beautiful state!
