A New Project

Hello there and Happy Memorial Day!
I am sure I'm not the first to notice all of the beautiful flags flying around today. Many of our neighbors have very large flagpoles in the front portion of their properties and with the wind today, boy, the flags are waving! We had ours out on the fence but took it down by mid-afternoon for fear it would end up in Kansas! I happen to think the United States has a beautiful flag. I have a sampler from Chessie and Me that has a great flag on it. I would really like to find a copy of a design I saw several years ago that was actually called "Flag Sampler". It was very traditional in style and almost completely done in red, white, and blue. It had an urn on either side of the verse. I wish I could remember the designer. If anyone out there know the sampler I am talking about, please let me know.
I have started a new project and of course, there are pumpkins involved. It is one by Prairie Schooler that came out in 2008. I know, better later than never! I just love their sayings. I think I should be able to have this one ready by Fall. Remind me I said that! LOL!
I have also continued to work on my art quilt. I finished the moose block and am ready to start the bear block. I will put up new pictures on my next post. I think I'm going to try to alternate between the quilt and the stitch project and who knows, maybe by Fall I will have two projects completed!
I am glad to have had a long weekend. An extra day off is such a nice thing. Well, I think that covers it for tonight. Until next TTFN!
