March is off to a crazy start

Hi there everyone! I have finally managed to steal away for a few minutes and sit down at the computer. What a week this has been...
I have been really down about my job for about the last year. I just have really been struggling with what to do. I know I have been very blessed to have a job and keep it during the past two years but I go and just hyperventilate over things that have been going on. I have tried to tell myself, it doesn't matter, it's not me, you get the idea. Well, this past week, out of the blue, I received a call, that to make a long story short, is my dream job. The company asked me to spend Friday with them and see what I thought and by the end of the day, they offered me a full time position!  I can honestly say, I have not posted my resume on any site or soliticted or applied for any thing. Talk about coming from left field!
Switching gears to a much more fun topic, I have managed to find a few minutes the last two weeks to put together that quilt top I have posted about. I think the colors are so happy! The squares were donated to our church so I just had to figure out a layout and sew them together. It should finish up to make a nice lap sized quilt. I have also started cutting fabric into strips which I will then cut into squares for another lap quilt. These were fabrics I had from my stash and thought it's probably a good idea to find a use for them. The picture doesn't really show the colors very well. Their oranges and turquoise and warm greens;  I can tell I am in need of warmth lately:) Definitely have a bad case of spring fever! I noticed out front that the grape hyacinths are starting to come up as well as some of the crocus. I'm just going to hope the deer don't notice yet.

The other big news around here is the chickens have FINALLY started laying eggs again! Yes, that may not seem like a big deal but having had to go to the store and buy both chicken feed and eggs is a little humiliating! LOL! They haven't layed an egg since the end of October! Finally, fresh eggs again!
Well I think that covers everything thing for now so until next time, TTFN!
